Mitchelle Inganji Mmboyi

We are so proud to report that Mitchelle Inganji Mmboyi, who has been supported by Kenyan Schoolhouse for many years, is headed to national secondary school, having written 407 out of a possible 500, making her the best in her school and among the best in the country. Congratulations, Mitchelle!

This year, Kenyan Schoolhouse has also taken on 30 new primary school-age kids from the deeply impoverished area of Busia, on the Kenyan border with Uganda. While primary school itself is now free in Kenya, there are costs associated with primary school that are impossible for the poorest families to afford - buying school uniforms, books and certain levies to support the school. We are very happy and proud to remove these roadblocks to education for 30 children, who will be picked by our partner organization ANPPCAN in consultation with the County Education Director from the Ministry of Education. Every kid deserves a chance!
